The Louisiana Nursing Home Association named Luis Arencibia, MD, as Medical Director of the Year for 2025. Dr. Arencibia is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and has been serving the greater New Orleans area since 2008. The LNHA recognized him for his work at Ormond Nursing & Care Center in Destrehan. In addition to this role, Dr. Arencibia serves as the medical director of Tulane Doctors Connected Care, which specializes in caring for the most vulnerable patients in the community, those who are physically frail, elderly, and patients with complex, chronic health issues.
The Louisiana Nursing Home Association (LNHA) is a nonprofit organization representing nearly 250 member nursing facilities and assisted living facilities that care for more than 25,000 of Louisiana’s elderly and disabled individuals each day.
