WaveMakers in Medicine

Jennifer Calzada, MA, MPH, Director of Advanced Medical Simulation at Tulane University School of Medicine, is among the faculty for the first Association for Surgical Education Curriculum in Education Innovation and Training (ASCENT) Program. The program is designed to share the expertise of leaders in surgical education on topics relevant to the education of simulation and other modalities. Calzada will present a lecture on interprofessional and interdisciplinary simulation. 

The year-long program is open to surgical residents, simulation fellows, and junior faculty. Chad Becnel, MD, MBA, a General Surgery Resident at Tulane, is one of the 50 learners in the inaugural cohort.
