Dr. Rizwan Aslam, Interim Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology, Program Director of Otolaryngology Residency & Associate Professor of Neurosurgery & Plastic Surgery, at Tulane University School of Medicine, recently presented at the World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery 2025 Congress. The congress, held in Barcelona, Spain, brought together nearly 1500 participants from around the globe.

Dr. Aslam specializes in Salivary Gland Surgery, Parotid Surgery, Pharyngeal Surgery, Mandible-Sparing Procedures for Oral Cavity Tumors, Airway Reconstruction, and Microvascular/Reconstruction of the Head and Neck. He spoke at the congress about using robotic surgery for procedures in the ear, nose, and throat.
